On January 24, 2023, a St. Clair County jury returned a verdict in favor of Defendant, Bell MO LLC (d/b/a Taco Bell). The multi-day trial was held before Judge Heinz Rudolf and involved testimony from several witnesses, including Taco Bell employees and medical professionals. The case involved issues of premises liability, and the plaintiff alleged serious injuries, including multiple surgical procedures as a result of a slip and fall on ice and snow. On behalf of the client, the firm denied liability, and argued that the plaintiff was at fault for her own injuries.
During litigation, the plaintiff’s demand reached $350,000. The jury deliberated for about 2 hours before returning a complete defense verdict. The trial was first-chaired by Nicole Winters.
