James Craney co-presents for the Illinois Society of Association Executives. On April 25, 2016, James Craney was a co-presenter of Who’s the Boss Here? Understanding Employment Relationships in the Contemporary Legal Landscape. The program examined traditional definitions of employer, employee, and independent contractor, under both Illinois and Federal law. The program primarily addressed the emerging changes to those definitions in light of recent court opinions and regulatory activity, including the NLRB’s Browning-Ferris Industries decision.
