Our Firm’s Philosophy
The firm’s philosophy toward the practice of law and litigation evolved from our experience in larger regional and national law firms. Craney Winters Law Group LLC has developed a business model that does not depend upon a “volume business.” Rather, the firm believes in providing every case with a level of attention and thought that does more than just meet basic industry standards. Each matter has direct and regular involvement by an experienced attorney who has substantial trial experience.
The attorneys at our firm understand that every matter should be prepared for trial, and believe that a lack of preparation has caused too many cases to settle on the courthouse steps. However, we also understand the need for early and accurate risk assessment, and work with clients to determine when resolution is called for, and what appropriate resolution may look like in a given case.
We draw from years of experience to ensure that the clients are given a careful road map to each case, and to ensure that there are no surprises. This is accomplished through:
-
- Early evaluation of liability and damages in the case, and regular re-evaluations as the matter progresses.
- Constant and timely reporting. The firm understands that in many cases it is more important to send an email or answer the phone, as opposed to preparing a lengthy letter. We take advantage of current technologies, in order to be as responsive as possible.
- Careful billing practices. In an increasingly-competitive litigation landscape, overall legal spend is as important as ever before. Through detailed attention to billing practices, the firm is able to provide invoices that accurately and efficiently document the work performed on each file.
